Located in the rapidly growing Barkarbystaden district, Barkbiten was completed in 2022 and features a mix of rental and owner-occupied apartments in various sizes — from studios to four-room homes — with a focus on efficient two- and three-room layouts. Each apartment has a bright, modern design with high-quality materials and several corner units that offer generous natural light.

The ground floors host commercial spaces, adding life and activity to the street level, while the private courtyard, situated one floor above the street, provides a peaceful area for play, social gatherings, and urban gardening. Out of a total of 260 apartments, 133 are condominiums, reflecting the neighborhood’s diverse and sustainable housing mix.

Architect KOD Arkitekter designed Barkbiten with a warm and harmonious color palette. The buildings feature graphic facades, rhythmic window placements, and detailed balconies, giving the quarter a distinct and cohesive look. The courtyard is thoughtfully designed to encourage community interaction while maintaining privacy, with features such as seating areas, bicycle parking, and greenery that promotes biodiversity.
