ByggVesta develops, builds, owns, and manages residential properties. We strive to be a knowledge-driven organization with engaged employees who move development forward, where service, strong tenant relationships, and the living experience are central.

Since the early 2000s, we have been an innovator in sustainable housing. We challenge established norms, develop increasingly sustainable residential properties, and invest in local communities through inclusive initiatives that strengthen safety, belonging, and social cohesion.

Today, ByggVesta manages approximately 4,000 rental apartments in attractive locations across major Swedish cities. With us, it should be easy to live sustainably and feel a sense of community regardless of needs or life situation.

ByggVesta’s history spans 75 years. The company was acquired by the Jonsson family in the 1990s, and the current CEO, Jonas Jonsson, represents the second generation of ownership.

Business Concept

We specialize in space-efficient, affordable, and sustainable homes. Our focus is on rental apartments and student housing in growth areas that are attractive places to live and invest in. We develop residential properties in locations close to public transportation and serve those who do not want—or are unable—to tie up capital in homeownership. As long-term owners and property managers with an innovative approach, we take overall responsibility for long-term, inclusive, and sustainable urban development.

Organization and Ownership

ByggVesta is wholly owned by Stellar ByggVesta Partners LLC through its subsidiary, Bansvik Holding AB. Stellar ByggVesta Partners LLC is a family-owned company with a clear long-term ambition to increase the value of real estate across generations through social and environmental sustainability. The company is headquartered in Seattle, USA.

Thanks to our flat organizational structure, we are well positioned to adapt to a changing world—new trends, new opportunities, and new expectations. We maintain close dialogue with our clients and partners across all parts of the business, and above all, with our tenants. Our work is also supported by an extensive network of subcontractors throughout Europe.

We operate three offices in different locations across Sweden.
