ByggVesta has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting continued progress toward innovation, collaboration, and climate-smart development in a challenging market. The report presents key achievements that show how sustainability is deeply integrated into every part of the company’s operations.
- Climate-smart construction that truly delivers.
Since 2015, ByggVesta has reduced emissions from new construction by 33%, following its roadmap toward a 50% reduction by 2030. This year’s project Hestur demonstrates that halving the climate footprint is possible with cost-neutral methods and smart material choices.
- Building more than housing
Through initiatives such as Live to Grow’s on-site student coordinators, safety programs, and social sustainability efforts like Yalla Rinkeby, ByggVesta continues to create inclusive, thriving communities where residents feel connected and supported.
- Sustainable operations and smart energy solutions
Energy consumption across ByggVesta’s property portfolio decreased by 3.6% compared to last year. The company installed new solar panels with 499 kW capacity, generating 400,000 kWh annually, and further expanded its AI-powered heating optimization system — all vital steps toward more energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.
“We never compromise on our sustainability goals — they are fully integrated into our business,” says Jenny Jonsson, CEO of ByggVesta.
