ByggVesta’s first student housing in Stockholm

Kosterhavet comprises 91 rental apartments ranging from two to four rooms and kitchens, as well as 113 student apartments designed for more than 150 residents — from studios and one-bedrooms to “buddy apartments” with shared spaces. From here, it’s a 10-minute bike ride to KTH and 15 minutes to Stockholm University. Buses to Karolinska Institute in Solna stop just around the corner, and the nearest metro station is Hjorthagen.

The student apartments and rental units are located in separate buildings within the rhombus-shaped block at the southeast tip of the district. The student building features a nine-story tower, while the rental building has four stairwells and a ground-floor café that faces the square — home to StikkiNikki’s artisanal ice cream production and summer shop.

Between the two buildings, the shared courtyard opens toward Ekparken in the south and the square to the north. Communal spaces, storage, and bike parking are located primarily in the easily accessible basement, which also includes garage parking.

The courtyard features lush greenery, pergolas, shared seating areas, and a barbecue zone, along with insect hotels in the trees to support biodiversity. All apartments are bright, space-efficient, and modern in design.
