Stockholm is growing, and today marks a significant milestone in the development of Kista Äng, the new district in northern Kista. The area is being built out in stages and today the city, together with HållBo, welcomes the first tenants moving in.
Kista Äng is strategically located between Torshamnsgatan and Kista Alléväg, bringing the city’s vision of a vibrant, dynamic neighborhood to life. Once fully developed, the area will offer around 1,600 homes, a school and preschools, all framed by a block structure with parks and squares.
The first residential buildings now completed offer modern comforts and are strategically placed close to both green spaces and city life. The blocks, which include both rental apartments and student housing, will feature amenities such as a student lounge, grocery store, hair salon, and modern mobility services with both car and bike sharing. The new buildings are designed as urban streets, with Torshamnsgatan as a green boulevard. Generous areas for outdoor seating and retail at street level invite natural gathering places and help create a lively urban environment.
The first tenants moving in today will be part of this exciting development and help shape Kista Äng’s identity.
