It’s not enough to just build sustainable housing — long-term environmental progress requires shared responsibility between property owners and residents. To support this, ByggVesta is launching Sustainable Lease Agreements that guide tenants toward making more climate-smart and socially responsible choices in their daily lives.
Building on over a decade of experience with the company’s Green Contract, which focused on responsible energy use, waste sorting, and property care, the new Sustainable Contract expands this commitment to include green mobility, biodiversity, and social sustainability. The initiative encourages residents to contribute to safer, more inclusive communities and to adopt habits that reduce environmental impact.
“After more than ten years with our Green Contract, ByggVesta remains one of the few companies working this way. The new Sustainable Contract takes the next step — covering renewable energy, biodiversity, and social initiatives that promote engagement and safety,” says Alicia Åhlfeldt, Sustainability Strategist at ByggVesta.
Through the Sustainable Contract, tenants are also offered incentives such as discounts on renewable electricity, helping make ByggVesta’s properties even more energy-efficient. The company sees these agreements as a cornerstone of the sustainable housing of the future, where environmental and social well-being go hand in hand.
