New Methods & Materials
Collaboration leads to the best innovations. Together, the industry can effectively tackle shared challenges such as environmental impact and material shortages. One example is the Betonginitiativet, where ByggVesta is a co-founder. This coalition brings together construction companies, concrete and cement manufacturers, real estate companies, public agencies, researchers, and several municipalities with the goal of achieving climate-neutral concrete by 2030.
Within the Betonginitiativet, we helped develop Agri™ Betong, in which part of the cement is replaced by ash from grain husks. Agri™ Betong has roughly half the climate footprint of conventional industrial concrete.
We also work closely with suppliers and contractors to use building materials more resource-efficiently.
Digital Progress
We embrace the possibilities of the digital future and tailor solutions to each site and project. Digital tools let us explore and optimize building design from multiple perspectives. We encourage partners to think creatively – the right materials, in the right amounts, in the right place. For example, we use digital 3D mass-balance calculations to minimize earthworks and deliver projects that are both resource-efficient and climate-smart.
