Kista

Kista is an exciting district full of development and potential – one of the world’s strongest ICT clusters, with over 1,000 Swedish and global companies. You’ll also find cultural venues and easy access to green spaces such as Järvafältet, popular for exercise and nature. Kista is home to Stockholm University facilities, an award-winning library, and one of the largest malls in the Stockholm area.

Campus Valla

Linköping University’s largest campus, about 3 km from the city center. Home to nine departments, the university library, administration, and student services. Next door are a popular outdoor recreation area and Mjärdevi Science Park.

Östra Sala Backe

A fast-growing area just a short bike ride from central Uppsala, linking Årsta and Sala Backe. With new housing, schools, and beautifully landscaped green areas, it’s becoming a central piece of a more connected Uppsala – balancing urban buzz and nature.

Sorgenfri

Right in central Malmö, former industrial blocks have been transformed into modern inner-city neighborhoods where sustainability, culture, and community take center stage.

Västra hamnen

Home to Scandinavia’s tallest building Turning Torso and the Bo01 district – an international model for ecological sustainability. Seaside promenades, cafés, and swimming from the quay attract many locals.

Hammarby Sjöstad

Just a stone’s throw from Södermalm, with inner-city perks plus boardwalks, reed beds teeming with birds, and lovely parks. Water is the area’s heart – and namesake.

Norra Djurgårdsstaden

A new, forward-looking district with the goal of minimizing ecological footprint – both in construction and daily life. Also home to student housing near the university. A mix of living, business, nature, culture, and big-city pulse.

Fagersjö

Nature on your doorstep – swim from the rocks in summer, skate on the plowed ice in winter. Between Farsta and Högdalen, with lakeside walks and the Farsta Nature Reserve nearby.

Bredäng

A Söderort district with everything from beaches and boules to shopping and cinema. The center has shops, restaurants, a library, pool, gym, sports hall, schools, health clinic, and more.

Bagarmossen

A lush district in south Stockholm with access to both the inner city and nature, bordering Kärrtorp and Skarpnäcks gård, and Nacka Municipality to the east.

Annedal

Family-friendly and popular in Bromma, by Bällstaån next to charming Sundbyberg. Scenic walks along Bällstaviken/Ulvsundasjön lead all the way into the city. Bromma Blocks shopping is within walking distance.

Gröndal

A pleasant district west of Liljeholmen, close to water, culture, and nature. Turn-of-the-century buildings and protected functionalist housing sit alongside new builds and converted industrial properties.

Ektorp

A local center with shops, cafés, restaurants, and gyms. The municipality plans further expansion, with an emphasis on creating an attractive square and meeting place. Nature is close by.

Rinkeby

A vibrant, multicultural district in northern Stockholm. Plenty of restaurants and shops; a new pedestrian route over E18 makes it easy to reach Järvafältet and its nature.

Flemingsberg

A true knowledge cluster – home to KTH, Karolinska Institutet, Södertörn University, The Swedish Red Cross University, the Police Academy, and Stockholm University College of Music Education – plus Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge, the municipality’s largest employer.

Tyresö

Known for beautiful nature – Tyresta National Park and large recreation areas by sea and lakes. The center offers shops, restaurants, services, and good links to central Stockholm.

Södertälje

Sweden’s 20th-largest city (≈100,000 residents), with urban amenities and quick access to water and nature. Direct trains to Stockholm and more. KTH Södertälje offers programs focused on sustainable production.

KTH Campus

Just east of Vasastan, a lively quarter with an international feel where engineering, dance, opera, and defense-college students meet. Cafés, library, sports hall, and student union house nearby.

Gärdet

ByggVesta manages two properties in prime inner-city locations. Excellent transit and a wide range of restaurants and services outside the door. The large grassy Gärdet Sports Field is popular for recreation and sports.

Sege Park

An innovative new district in Kirseberg, close to the city center. Residents and businesses build community around urban gardening and sustainable solutions, while the heritage environment is preserved.

Central Malmö

ByggVesta manages several properties in central Malmö. Living here blends a European big-city feel with Swedish small-town charm, all shaped by the sea. Malmö is a vibrant city with a great mix of people, activities, and places of different character.
