ByggVesta and Bonnier Fastigheter End Partnership in Joint Venture HållBo

After five years of joint ownership, ByggVesta and Bonnier Fastigheter have agreed to end their collaboration in the jointly owned real estate company HållBo. The company’s assets will be divided equally (50/50) between the two partners.

Formed in 2019, HållBo has over the years developed and managed nearly 1,200 rental apartments and student housing units in attractive locations across Stockholm and Malmö. Due to current market conditions, several planned projects have been postponed, which led the owners to decide on an earlier-than-planned division of assets.

The equal split allows both companies to focus on their respective core regions and strategies, continuing to own and manage sustainable residential properties with strong cash flows.

We’ve had a good and successful collaboration that we’re very pleased with, but now the time was right for a change. Through this division, we gain direct ownership of additional attractive properties in Malmö and Stockholm. This strengthens our balance sheet and gives us long-term access to stable cash flows — an important step for further developing ByggVesta’s operations, says Jenny Jonsson, CEO of ByggVesta.
