ByggVesta aims to be part of the local community and therefore makes active decisions that benefit the neighborhoods where we build and manage housing. Our work is about helping residents feel included and safe, as well as investing in social initiatives.

We do this by building an inclusive, energizing, and safe workplace where everyone can develop and take initiative.

We develop our neighborhoods with a focus on satisfied residents. Our properties feature appealing, timeless architecture that residents can feel proud of for years to come. Buildings are also designed in line with Safety Certification (Trygghetscertifiering) principles. Lounges, study rooms, and welcoming courtyards lay the groundwork for strong neighborly connections. Courtyard design supports outdoor play, social activities, pleasant microclimates, and weather protection. A hands-on property management and community activities further strengthen togetherness and safety.

Meaningful Work Expericence

ByggVesta eases the transition into the labor market by hiring students for fixed-term roles such as community coordinators, project or finance assistants, and by continuously offering internships (primarily in property management). We also collaborate with various partners to provide apprenticeships and job opportunities for the unemployed across our projects.

Social Initiatives

We often collaborate with other property owners and the local community to drive positive place-based development. Our ultimate goal is to create welcoming, inclusive environments, reduce crime, and help more young people qualify for upper-secondary school. This can include partnering with local associations or arranging homework help and similar activities. A successful example is Yalla Rinkeby, initiated in 2016, which has grown into a social enterprise making a significant impact for women in the Järva area.

Care Throughout the Value Chain

We safeguard human rights across our value chain. Together with our partners, we work to run operations in an ethical, socially responsible, and environmentally sustainable way. We set the same requirements in our supplier agreements – both in construction and management – as we do for ourselves, as specified in our policies and Supplier Code of Conduct.
