Apartments in Tensta

Järvabacken

A new gateway to Järvafältet

At the edge of Järvafältet in Tensta, ByggVesta is planning houses with about 370 rental apartments (1 – 5 rooms and kitchen). Across Tenstaterrassen, a total of ~500 homes are planned, plus an 80-unit care facility. New streets will connect Tenstaterrassen with the rest of Tensta, and new walking/cycling paths will lead directly from Tensta out into Järvafältet.

The Tensta and Rinkeby deck-over projects are part of Fokus Järva, the City of Stockholm’s long-term initiative for the districts around Järvafältet. The terraced structures will serve as entrances to this key recreational area, opening up access to its natural and cultural experiences.

The apartments in Järvabacken will enjoy green views and immediate contact with nature. Multiple stairs and ramps will ease movement between the terrace and the adjacent fields. Most homes will have a balcony or patio. The site’s open lawns will extend up between the buildings in grassed terraces with comfortable spots for sun or shade.

The buildings are designed to be highly energy-efficient with rooftop solar panels producing part of the electricity.
