ByggVesta has entered into an agreement with EQT Exeter regarding the sale of Phase 1 in the realization of an exciting new residential area in Flemingsberg, Huddinge Municipality.
This fall, Huddinge Municipality is expected to make a formal decision on the new detailed development plan for the property Grantorp 2:32 within Campus Flemingsberg. Around 800 new homes are planned for this growing area. Together with several commercial spaces and welcoming blocks, the housing – accommodating over 1,100 researchers and students – will create a modern and attractive campus environment. It’s an important step toward further strengthening Campus Flemingsberg as a hub for innovation, research, and education. The project is planned in the central part of Flemingsberg, one of Stockholm’s most interesting regional urban centers.
EQT Exeter has signed an agreement to acquire the first phase of the project, consisting of around 400 apartments in three properties.
The planning process was expected to be completed in Q4 2023, with construction slated to start spring 2024. The first phase of about 400 apartments is expected to be completed from late 2025 through mid-2026.
ByggVesta has long-standing, in-depth expertise in creating high-quality student and researcher housing. For example, we previously developed Nobelus 1 in the area, which is now owned by Granit Bostad and managed by ByggVesta. The new project in Flemingsberg has been developed since 2016 together with the municipality, a consultant team, the landowner, investors, and the general contractor. The design now truly meets the needs of students and researchers, complementing existing housing and businesses to make this one of Sweden’s most interesting campus areas.
