Flemingsberg Student Housing

Campus Flemingsberg

Future-Ready Homes for Students & Researchers

In the heart of the knowledge-dense Flemingsberg campus – right next to businesses and employers – ByggVesta is developing about 800 new apartments for students, researchers, and young professionals. Phase 1 (417 apartments) broke ground in spring 2024, with first move-ins planned for fall 2026. An additional 388 apartments start construction in June 2025, with staged move-ins during H2 2027. The result: a modern, attractive living environment in a large, cohesive campus area.

The three new blocks will also bring a new square and new pedestrian routes. The square will be the neighborhood’s heart, with space for various services and social areas.

There will be an on-site office and a combined lounge/study room for socializing, plus a small number of commercial units. Parking will include about 50 garage spaces. Leasing information will be provided closer to move-in.

Many students and researchers from around the world already live in the area, including our earlier student housing Nobelus 1.

Area

Flemingsberg,

A true knowledge cluster – home to KTH, Karolinska Institutet, Södertörn University, The Swedish Red Cross University, the Police Academy, and Stockholm University College of Music Education – plus Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge, the municipality’s largest employer.

Transportation

It’s a short walk from campus to Flemingsberg C, with commuter, regional, and long-distance trains. Buses run to surrounding municipalities and central Stockholm.

Schools & Preschools

Examples include Kästa Preschool & School. When it opened in 2015, it was Sweden’s largest passive house school, designed with both the environment and pedagogy in mind.

Shopping, Dining & Services

Flemingsberg Centrum is a local center with around twenty shops selling clothes, gifts, and groceries. You’ll also find a health clinic, pharmacy, hair salon, and library. Several restaurants serve great food, and a 24/7 gym is available.

Nature & Leisure

Nearby Flottsbro Outdoor Area offers downhill skiing, ice skating, swimming, and hiking. You can bike there along an idyllic forest path in under 15 minutes. There’s also mini golf, canoeing, and a beach café. In winter, Flottsbro transforms into Stockholm’s highest ski slope.

You’re also close to Visättra Sports Center, where you can skate and play disc golf.
