Sköterskan

A Green Park Setting Close to the City Center

The Sköterskan block is located on Tekla Thomasson Street, right by the lush park environment of Sege Park’s southeast corner. Here you’ll find 113 smaller rental apartments in a pleasant, green neighborhood just minutes from downtown. The new residential area in Sege Park is being developed with a strong focus on urban farming, sustainability, and shared resources.

The apartments are mainly compact 1 – 3 room units. Most have balconies, French balconies, or patios. They are carefully designed with smart layouts and modern materials. Bathrooms are fully tiled with showers as standard, plus a washer and dryer or a combined unit.

The functionalist-inspired architecture connects to Sege Park’s history and its 1930s hospital buildings. The property includes a community room for residents and a shared carpool. The entire building, including apartments and balconies, is smoke-free.

The Architect’s Perspective

The building volumes, window placement, and façade materials create a clear connection to the historic nurse housing nearby. Entrances are highlighted with high-quality materials and glass stairwells that open toward the park, giving both residents and visitors a rich spatial experience.

Area

Sege Park, Malmö

An innovative new district in Kirseberg, close to the city center. Residents and businesses build community around urban gardening and sustainable solutions, while the heritage environment is preserved.

Sege park, Malmö

Sege Park occupies the grounds of the former Östra Hospital. Several existing buildings have significant historical and architectural value. The area also features a unique mature park environment with more than 600 large heritage trees forming an important part of the new neighborhood.

Malmö aims for Sege Park to become a model for shared economy and sustainability.

Communication and Public Transport

In Sege Park, you’ll be living in a neighborhood built around sustainability and sharing. It’s home to southern Sweden’s first wooden parking garage, with space for 600 cars, a bike garage, and a mobility hub where residents can rent cars, bikes, or cargo bikes. You’re just a 10–15 minute bike ride from downtown, with easy access to buses that take you straight to Malmö’s city center.

The area is served by new fully electric, 24-meter-long express buses. You can also get to Lund quickly via direct bus or the Pågatåget commuter train from Malmö Central Station. And it’s only about a 30-minute drive to Copenhagen’s international airport, Kastrup.
